Jace & Heather Dunagan
From Welders to Ranchers: How We Started.
Jace always loved cattle—or at least the idea of having them—but didn't know where to start. A welder by trade, a little over a decade ago he did a job for a local rancher who was selling out. Jace took his payment in the form of five bred Black Angus commercial cows. We weren't sure about anything, but we weren't afraid to ask questions and learn.
Today, we raise our cattle for the sole purpose of meat production, selling directly to our community. We started selling halves and quarters, loving the honest feedback from each family we fed. Since then, we have upped our game to produce high-choice and prime cuts of clean, wholesome protein at affordable, middle-market prices.
"We believe that most times you give an animal anything that is digestibly safe for them to promote growth, it is likely not safe for us. We add nothing to their diets that they cannot get naturally. We feed our own family with our beef, and we want it to be the honest best."
